Timepass on the terrace

The ordinary gravel took on the beautiful golden colour of the setting sun.

In search

A reflection of the world
A dusty diffraction of my innards
There are numerous things that get me going
Books, films, food and music among them many

I am not your girl next door,
I am the girl you won't even notice
But that is what benefits me, to
Observe you and your misdemeanour.

I wield the brush with definite strokes
I turn a page with absolute reverence
I'll slip a cookie in my mouth
As quick as a hen struts around.

But that is me, not one thing whole
Bits and pieces of a puzzle, scattered
Across the world, for which I must
Ponder over my travel and trails.
